Two men have pleaded guilty in Camden, N.J. to stealing $3.5 million from hedge fund investors and claiming to have a computer program that would bring huge profits from foreign currency trades. But what Carmelo Provenzano, 29, and Daniel Dragan, 41, actually did with money from their Ponzi scheme was take expensive trips and blow money like there was no tomorrow, The Star-Ledger newspaper reported. The two men admitted to running bar tabs five figures long, and, one night in Los Angeles, tipping $4,000 at a single club. George Sepero, a third defendant in the case, still awaits trial, The Star-Ledger said.
